Clark Island (New South Wales)

Clark Island is an island in Sydney Harbour, Australia. It lies offshore of the Sydney suburb of Darling Point, in the eastern section of the harbour between the Harbour Bridge and the harbour entrance. It is 0.9 hectares in area. [1]

The island derives its name from Lieutenant Ralph Clark of the First Fleet, who established a vegetable garden on the island. However, the garden was not a success; the vegetables kept being stolen. Today the island is uninhabited, and forms part of the Sydney Harbour National Park.[1][2]
